Sara Silva Pereira is a Group Leader at the Católica Biomedical Research Centre, where she leads the Parasite–Vascular Interactions Lab. Her research focuses on how bloodstream parasites interact with the host vasculature to survive and cause disease, combining parasite biology, vascular biology, and in vitro models.
She holds a BSc in Biomedical Sciences from King’s College London and a PhD in Veterinary Parasitology from the University of Liverpool.
