Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) has been authorized by the Agency for Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education (A3ES) to double the number of spots for the Integrated Master’s in Medicine and will welcome 100 new students in 2025/2026 academic year.
This authorization recognizes the excellent work the institution has been doing since its establishment in 2021.
The quality of teaching, personalized student support, and strong integration into clinical years were key factors in the success of this application.
António Almeida, Dean of Católica Medical School commented that “The unconditional accreditation by A3ES, now confirmed with the full number of places, is a significant milestone that reflects our team’s dedication and commitment to providing excellent medical education, now widely recognized by official entities. The increase in the number of places will help meet the growing demand for highly qualified healthcare professionals.”
Católica Medical School is the first private institution that recently joined the Council of Portuguese Medical Schools (CEMP) which includes directors of medical schools across the country.
This increase in available spots will allow the institution to educate more highly qualified doctors, ready to meet the demands of modern medicine!
