The Clinical Academic Centre Católica-Luz (CAC-CL) and Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade Católica announce the Second edition of the Executive Course “Global Pharmaceutical Industry: Patient, Strategy and Innovation“. This immersive program aims to develop participants the necessary skills to face new challenges in the sector.

For Paula Rosa, Head BioProduction Operations at Novartis, “this program will be a unique opportunity to develop a global and strategic vision of the Pharmaceutical Industry.”

This innovative course, which will begin on September 20th, 2024, is aimed at professionals who want to deepen their knowledge in the pharmaceutical sector, offering more than 30 hours of specialized training and 10 hours of business case resolution.

Running on Fridays and Saturdays until October 26th, this program is designed to provide an in-depth understanding of key areas of the global pharmaceutical industry, including Strategy, Research and Development, Operations, Future Healthcare Trends and Sustainability. Participants will explore these themes through interactive business case studies and practical sessions, gaining valuable insights into the complexities of the industry. Hugo Barbosa, EU Customer Omnichannel Director at ViiV Healthcare, also highlights that “this program fulfills the purpose of helping professionals in the pharmaceutical industry accelerate their professional (and personal) growth in this industry.”

This training is a unique opportunity for professionals in the pharmaceutical industry, from the early stages of their careers to those with several years of experience, who seek to develop a global and strategic vision in the pharmaceutical and healthcare ecosystems.

The second edition of Global Pharma Industry features speakers such as Paulo Teixeira, Country Manager at Pfizer Portugal; Paula Martins de Jesus, Medical Director at MSD; Filipa Mota e Costa, Managing Director at J&J Innovative Medicine Portugal, who will present the major trends in the future of healthcare; Sofia Ferreira, Managing Director at Organon Portugal, who will focus on the centrality of the patient in health systems; and Sérgio Alves, Global Head of Health Equity at AstraZeneca, who will speak about leadership in the industry; among other highly relevant names in multinationals in the pharmaceutical industry.

According to Daniel Guedelha, with 16 years of experience in various global positions in the pharmaceutical industry and who leads this executive training: “The first edition was an absolute success!
