{"id":14527,"date":"2026-02-13T13:19:37","date_gmt":"2026-02-13T13:19:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cac-cl.pt\/?p=14527"},"modified":"2026-02-13T13:20:13","modified_gmt":"2026-02-13T13:20:13","slug":"fly-2026-applications-open-for-international-volunteering","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cac-cl.pt\/pt\/fly-2026-applications-open-for-international-volunteering\/","title":{"rendered":"FLY 2026 &#8211; Applications open for international volunteering"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A plataforma&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/view\/vuela2026\/portugu%C3%AAs\">FLY Program<\/a>&nbsp;is back in 2026, offering students from the four campuses of the Universidade Cat\u00f3lica Portuguesa the opportunity to participate in international volunteering experiences, integrated into projects in the areas of migration, social exclusion, and community care.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Applications are open from January 28th to February 17th.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With more than 40 projects in 16 countries, FLY promotes civic engagement, solidarity, and contact with diverse social realities. Previous editions have demonstrated the transformative impact of this program, both on the communities involved and on the personal and academic paths of the participating students. Carolina Salgado, a student at the Porto campus, participated in the 2025 edition and says that the experience at C\u00e1ritas Madrid \u201cexceeded all her initial expectations,\u201d having developed \u201cvery special relationships with other volunteers and with the local community.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This program includes a series of preliminary training sessions, support from local organizations, and a strong international cooperation component.
