Cat\u00f3lica Medical School offers an Mestrado Integrado em Medicina<\/a>, with a total of 360 ECTS and a duration of 6 academic years. The programme has the partnership of the Grupo Luz Sa\u00fade <\/a>and the close collaboration of Maastricht University<\/a>, the Regional Health Administration of Lisbon and the Tagus Valley<\/a>, the Public Institute, the Beatriz \u00c2ngelo Hospital and the Union of Portuguese Miseric\u00f3rdias<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

O curso tem como objetivo preparar e formar profissionais de excel\u00eancia no exerc\u00edcio da medicina cl\u00ednica, dotados de compet\u00eancias transformadoras, transversais e transfer\u00edveis, adquiridas com base em compet\u00eancias de pensamento cient\u00edfico decorrente da pr\u00e1tica precoce de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o no curso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Esta forma\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 complementada pela promo\u00e7\u00e3o de um comportamento \u00e9tico e human\u00edstico \u00e0 luz dos princ\u00edpios humanistas da Cat\u00f3lica, e pelo desenvolvimento de compet\u00eancias de lideran\u00e7a para que os formandos sejam futuros agentes transformadores das comunidades onde venham a exercer a sua atividade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Medicine course will use student-centred teaching methodologies that foster learning autonomy, with greater retention and depth of knowledge, with proven clinical skills. The course is aligned with the Maastricht University teaching and evaluation model, will have training at the best international level, with top teachers and will be taught in English, with the clinical component in Portuguese. The course will allow access to international training mobility with other leading medical schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The completion of the Integrated Master in Medicine requires the completion of 360 ECTS<\/strong> and the programme has a duration of 6 academic years (12 semesters), following Article 3 of Decree-Law No. 74\/2006 of March 24, under the language of Decree-Law No. 65\/2018 of August 16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the first three curricular years, the completion of 180 ECTS corresponds to the first cycle of studies and grants students the degree of Bachelor in Basic Sciences of Medicine. The second cycle of studies has the objective of completing the remaining 180 ECTS, in the last three curricular years, and grants the degree of Master in Medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Higher education in Medicine is regulated at European level, with a view to the recognition of the respective professional qualification <\/a>among the Member States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This program is supported by the TRAINING4RESILIENCE project, funded by the European Union (NextGenerationEU), STEAM Youth Impulse and Adult Impulse, as part of the Recovery and Resilience Programme (PRR).<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
