Sleep is essential for survival and plays a prominent role in a child’s physical, psychological, and social development. Various aspects of sleep, such as duration, timing, and quality, influence a child’s physical and mental health, performance, and safety.
In recent years, there has been a growing interest in addressing sleep in pediatric consultations, and sleep medicine has included a section on pediatric sleep in its training. Therefore, it is urgently necessary to bring together faculty with expertise in pediatric sleep medicine for an Advanced Course to prepare professionals for this field.
This Advanced Course is specifically geared toward training professionals interested in working in pediatric sleep (clinicians or technicians) and/or research and provides robust theoretical and practical preparation for the European certification as a somnologist, somnologist technician, and also for accreditation in dental sleep medicine.
