The Sociedade das Ciências Médicas de Lisboa (SCML) informs that applications are now open for the 2026 edition of the SCML/Pfizer Awards, one of the most prestigious scientific distinctions in Portugal in the field of biomedical research.
This edition is particularly symbolic, as it marks 70 years of one of the most respected and long-standing initiatives supporting biomedical research in Portugal.
The Pfizer Awards recognise basic and clinical research projects developed wholly or partially within Portuguese institutions. Applications will be evaluated by an independent jury appointed by the Sociedade das Ciências Médicas de Lisboa, with scientific excellence and merit as the central assessment criteria.
