Tutor Day – Thoughts and Strategies for Tutoring

On July 1th, Católica Medical School will host the Tutor Day, a gathering dedicated to pre-clinical years tutors, with the aim of improving the quality of tutorial sessions and promoting a more aligned, effective, and collaborative approach to tutoring.

Throughout a dynamic and interactive morning, tutors will have the opportunity to:

• Share real experiences and challenges encountered during tutorial sessions
• Explore practical strategies to improve group dynamics
• Reflect on the tutor’s role in developing students’ competencies
• Align feedback and assessment approaches

The programme includes small-group work sessions, plenary discussions, and activities focused on assessing competencies within the tutorial setting, culminating in the identification of best practices and future training needs.

More than just a meeting, this event will provide a space for collaborative learning, critical reflection, and the joint development of solutions that enhance the tutorial experience at CMS.
