SimSchool PreMed | 10th Edition
Between December 17th and 19th, 2025, the 10th Edition of SimSchool PreMed will take place.
Organized by Hospital da Luz Learning Health, SimSchool PreMed is an intensive and immersive course held at the simulation center of Hospital da Luz Learning Health, offering participants the opportunity to experience different clinical areas.
Over the course of these three days, participants will have the chance to practice patient care both in medical consultations and in the emergency room, all within a safe and controlled simulation environment. They will acquire basic knowledge and perform essential techniques for managing these scenarios. In critical situations, they will apply CRM (Crisis Resource Management) principles, which will help improve teamwork skills such as communication and leadership.
Throughout the program, participants will:
- Conduct medical consultations with simulated patients, including reviewing medical histories, interpreting test results, and accessing and recording data in the medical record;
- Train non-technical skills essential for effective teamwork;
- Approach a victim in cardiac arrest and perform resuscitation maneuvers;
- Visit Hospital da Luz Lisboa;
- Engage in an interactive experience sharing session with a physician from Hospital da Luz;
- Visit Católica Medical School, including a coaching session, networking opportunities, and tours of the various labs: AnatomyLab, SkillsLab, and ResearchLab.
