Isabel Vaz, CEO of Luz Saúde and a member of the Board of the Católica-Luz Clinical Academic Centre, was awarded the Gold Medal of the Ministry of Health for Services Rendered — a tribute and expression of gratitude for everything she has done for the healthcare sector in Portugal, notably through the creation of the Luz Saúde Group and all that it represents today within the national healthcare system.
The President of the Clinical Council of Luz Saúde and former Clinical Director of Hospital da Luz Lisboa, physician José Roquette, was also awarded a Medal of the Ministry of Health for Services Rendered.
Several institutions from the fields of science, research, and academia took part in the celebration, including the Champalimaud Foundation, which hosted the event; AICIB – Agência de Investigação Clínica e Inovação; AIBILI; i3S – Instituto de Investigação e Inovação em Saúde; e a GIMM – Gulbenkian Institute for Molecular Medicine.
