Portuguese dentist Susana Falardo has been re-elected Chair of the Scientific Committee of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM), one of the most prestigious international organizations dedicated to Dental Sleep Medicine.
The re-election took place during the Academy’s official meeting, in a moment attended by the current AADSM President, Dr. Paul Jacobs, highlighting the international recognition of Susana Falardo’s scientific and clinical work in this specialized field.
In addition to leading the Scientific Committee, Susana Falardo also serves on the American Dental Ethics Committee for Sleep Medicine, further strengthening Portugal’s participation in international structures focused on decision-making, research, and the establishment of clinical best practices.
At the same time, Susana Falardo is co-coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Sleep Medicine at Católica Medical School, where she develops academic and scientific activities dedicated to the advanced training of professionals in this multidisciplinary area.
This re-election represents not only recognition of Susana Falardo’s academic and professional merit, but also an acknowledgment of Portugal’s growing representation in the leading international forums of Dental Sleep Medicine.
