Católica Luz Clinical Academic Centre (CAC-CL) is delighted to celebrate a major milestone in the journey towards a more skilled workforce in Europe: the EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative, led by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), has successfully trained one million talents in deep tech.

CAC-CL is one of the pledgers on EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative!

As Pledgers of the Initiative, we are proud to have contributed to this achievement! With the support of more than 600 fellow Pledgers and thanks to the EIT’s educational expertise, Europe-wide network, and funding the Initiative is creating essential opportunities for developing deep tech skills.

The EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative currently features a catalogue of over 200 courses offered by Pledgers on fields such as Advanced Computing and Artificial Intelligence, all bearing the Initiative’s Quality Check seal. Training has taken place via training courses, but also through open innovation competitions, conferences, and bootcamps. Moreover, since 2023, women have represented 36% of all trained talents based on reported gender data, which contributes to a more inclusive workforce in Europe.

This collective effort to equip Europe’s workforce with cutting-edge skills reflects the strong commitment of the EIT to ensure that European industries remain at the forefront of global innovation, fostering an inclusive workforce, and strengthening Europe’s competitiveness.

We are dedicated to continually improving the quality of our training by collaborating closely with students, trainers and other stakeholders. In addition to monitoring and reporting both qualitative and quantitative aspects of our training provision, we place a strong emphasis on gender equality and inclusion, ensuring broad and equitable access to our educational offerings.

CAC-CL was deeply committed to the mission and objectives of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology’s Deep Tech Talent Initiative. Our motivation to join the Pledge stems from our dedication to advancing the frontiers of life sciences and biotechnology through high-quality education and research, aligned with the urgent needs of today’s rapidly changing technological landscape.

The executive courses that are part of this pledge are Global Pharmaceutical Industry: Patient, Strategy and Innovation e a Biotech Startups and Pharma.
