Entrepreneurship Innovation Roundtable | Shaping the Future of Healthcare: Innovation, Leadership and Value Creation
How can innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership transform the future of healthcare?
And what role should education – from school to university – play in building that culture?
This roundtable brings together three complementary perspectives – academia, entrepreneurship, and institutional leadership in healthcare – for a conversation on how to develop a culture of value creation, innovation, and entrepreneurial thinking, which is essential to addressing the current challenges facing healthcare systems and society.
The debate will feature:
- Prof. Sarah Vigmostad – CTO and Co-Founder of SynderBio and Faculty Member at the University of Iowa;
- Prof. João Santos Pereira – Entrepreneur and CEO of Católica Medical School;
- Prof. Dawn Bowlus – Director of the Jacobson Institute and Faculty Member at the University of Iowa;
Drawing on concrete experiences, the speakers will discuss topics such as:
• The role of educational institutions in promoting entrepreneurship and innovation
• How to develop creativity, leadership and problem-solving skills in students
• The connection between education, science, healthcare and economic development
