October 16th marks World Food Day, a date promoted by the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations) to raise awareness in society about the importance of ensuring the universal right to adequate, nutritious, safe, and accessible food.
This principle, increasingly recognized at the international level, is also upheld by ESPEN (European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism), which emphasizes that nutrition is a fundamental human right, essential to the dignity, health, and well-being of all individuals.
