As part of the international exchange developed within the YTILI | Young Transatlantic Innovation Leaders Initiative Fellowship, this week has been marked by several activities focused on education, innovation, and entrepreneurship in healthcare.

The programme includes the participation of guests from the University of Iowa, Dr. Dawn Bowlus and Dr. Sarah Vigmostad, whose visit has contributed to strengthening international collaboration and knowledge sharing between institutions.

The first day of activities was dedicated to education and innovation. The programme began with a guided visit to Católica Medical School, followed by a meeting with the Director of the Department of Medical Education, Professor Pedro Mateus. This moment provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives on medical education, academic development, and innovation in healthcare training.

The day continued with a work session dedicated to the CMS Entrepreneurship in Health Extracurricular Unit, focusing on initiatives that promote entrepreneurial thinking among medical students and encourage the development of innovative solutions for healthcare challenges.

Tomorrow, will focus on the Health Innovation Ecosystem and Entrepreneurship, including a visit to the United States Embassy in Lisbon, a visit to Unicorn Factory Lisboa, and an institutional meeting with the Católica-Lisbon Entrepreneurship Center (CLEC).

These initiatives reinforce the importance of international collaboration, innovation-driven education, and entrepreneurial ecosystems in shaping the future of healthcare and medical training!
