Universidade Católica Portuguesa, through its Institute of Bioethics, proudly presents the Bioethics Summer Course 2025, a dynamic forum for critical reflection and interdisciplinary dialogue on the pressing ethical challenges of our time.
This summer course takes place from July 14th to July 18th, 2025, at Católica Medical School.
This intensive five-day program offers a valuable opportunity to align technical knowledge with human values, promoting an ethical, humanistic, and responsible education.
Target Audience: Professionals, students, and researchers in the fields of Medicine, Law, Pharmacy, Nursing, Health Sciences, and the Humanities who are interested in deepening their understanding of the foundations, ethical dilemmas, and practical applications of bioethics in today’s world.
Inspired by Fritz Jahr, Van Rensselaer Potter and many other thinkers, Bioethics is proposed today as a space for transdisciplinary dialogue, where science, philosophy, ecology, medicine and the humanities meet to devise new paths for the common good.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore and discuss key issues with renowned national and international experts, including:
