Paula Ravasco, faculty member at the Católica Medical School, will participate as a speaker at the 18th International Conference of the Society on Sarcopenia, Cachexia & Wasting Disorders (SCWD), taking place in Rome, Italy, from December 11th to December 13th, 2025.
The SCWD Conference is a premier international event that brings together researchers, clinicians, academic experts and industry leaders to explore the latest science and clinical pathways in sarcopenia, cachexia and wasting disorders — including the critical roles of nutrition and metabolism in these conditions.
Professor Paula Ravasco participation´s underscores her engagement in the field of clinical nutrition and metabolism in the context of cachexia and muscle-wasting disorders, and further highlights the international presence of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa in translational medical research.
